Community Dinners

On the third Saturday of every month, our congregation sponsors a free community dinner in the Fellowship Hall.  Cooks, servers, and people to visit with the guests are always needed.  Upcoming dates: June 19, July 17, August 21, 2:00-6:00 p.m.  Contact Karen Johnson to volunteer help, 371-2719,


Micah Summer Camp Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed for the Micah Summer Camp that our church will lead, July 19-23, at Heritage Park from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. each afternoon.  Our main activity will focus on baseball.  We will need people to prepare and serve lunches.  Also needed are volunteers to help with baseball skills and others to  be helpers providing crowd control.  Most of the children will be elementary to early middle school age.  To volunteer, please contact Jim Toler at 371-8399 or, or Bruce Harvey at 373-7057 or

Interfaith Community Council School Dressing Days

Bragg Hill Family Life Center; 400 Bragg Hill Drive.  Aug.14, 16, 17

NEEDED:  Good, clean, gently worn clothes and shoes appropriate for school.(Especially boys)  New backpacks/new men’s boxer shorts size small or medium Girls new jeans-TEEN sizes 3, 5, or 7 and deliver by July 25 (box outside sanctuary)  Money.  Make check payable to our church with memo to: School Dressing Days.

VOLUNTEERS:  Sort clothes : Aug. 2- Aug. 12,  9 AM – NOON (weekdays only)

Set up: Friday, Aug. 13 (from 9 until finished)  Dressing Days:  Sat. Aug. 14th; 9AM – 4 PM;  Mon. Aug. 16th and Tues. Aug. 17/th; 9 AM – 2 PM

Leave your used clothing in the School Dressing Days box in Fellowship Hall.   Call Becky Paul (373-2294) with any questions.

Micah Yard Sale

Micah Ministries is collecting larger items such as furniture, appliances, tools, sports equipment, electronics, and building supplies for a yard sale on June 5, from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. in Fredericksburg Baptist Church parking lot.  They are not accepting clothing, knick knacks, etc. for this event.  Call David Spellman at 809-0255 to donate items.

Lemonade on the Lawn Hosts Needed

Lemonade on the Lawn, the fellowship time between the 8:30 and 10:00 a.m. services,   begins June 13 and ends September 5.  You may signup today after both services to be a host.  Responsibilities include setting up table, putting out trash can, setting out and pouring lemonade, cleaning up and mixing lemonade for following Sunday, leaving it in the refrigerator.  Supplies are located in the Kitchen and Fellowship Hall in the Education building.
