Education

Our Christian education mission is to help develop and deepen a spiritual life by providing an environment where learning, fellowship and fun go hand in hand while teaching the Word of God to all ages in a variety of ways. In doing this we will develop a support system that will equip people to deal with crises in their lives, as well as to prepare and encourage people to go out into the world to be Christian examples.

At The Presbyterian Church, we provide opportunities for all children, youth and adults to continue their faith development through worship, education, and mission. Some of these opportunities are Church School; Vacation Bible School; Small Groups, such as Presbyterian Women Circles, Men’s Group, Women’s Bible Study; Confirmation; Youth Groups; Wednesday Night Supper and Activities; Retreats; Mission Projects; Workshops on worship, sexuality, drugs/alcohol and more.

Church School – Classes for all ages meet 9:45-10:45 am from the Sunday after Labor Day to second Sunday in June. Our 2-year olds—5th grade classes all meet in the Education Building directly behind the sanctuary. Our 6th grade—adult classes meet in the Middle and Church Row Houses.

Wednesday Night Fellowship –2nd Wednesdays @ The Presbyterian Church

We are excited about our mid-week dinners and activities.  Instead of multiple activities for adults and children/youth, we all meet in the Fellowship Hall.  We want children, youth and adults to spend time together, whether it is  sharing stories, doing a craft, playing games, dancing, or some other activity.

We invite you to join us and to ask questions about how you may get involved. The Christian Education Committee is open to new ideas. Please feel free to share your ideas with our staff and they will see that they are taken to the committee. Let us continue to nurture each other in the faith of Jesus Christ in this time and place. If you have any questions or comments, please contact Bruce Harvey.
