Church Library

There are two church libraries at the Presbyterian Church in Fredericksburg. A major role of the Church is arming and equipping the Saints, in that spirit, we do our best to maintain well-stocked religious libraries for all ages.

The Edith Walsh Children’s Library is located on the 2nd floor of the Education Building right at the top of the stairs on the right. It is open during Sunday school hours, Wednesday night activities, and at other special events. There is a card for checking out each item. There is no time limit for checked out materials. It is hoped that they will be returned within a month or so. Along with many wonderful books there are videos, audio cassette tapes, and DVDs.

During the school year the Library Committee sponsors Storytellers for the different Sunday School classes. Check out the Church newsletter for ages and dates.

Gertrude Belk Memorial Library is the second library and is located at the end of the foyer hall of the Church House (next to the Parlor). This library is open whenever the building is open. Immediately inside the doorway on the left is the new and refurbished Senior High and Middle School section. The Library Committee seeks any titles or subject ideas.

There is an honor system of the books in this library. Please feel free to take a book home with you and return it when you have finished with it.  Please check out our inventory list to find your next pic!

The Library Committee consists of John & Debe Garrison, Nancy Raines, Mary Lou Cramer and John Spear.  If interested in being part of the committee or with any questions about the library, please contact John Garrison 898-0253
