Mary Ann Casey


Mary Ann Casey has served as the director of the Handbell Choirs, the Youth Choir, and the children’s choirs at the Presbyterian Church of Fredericksburg since 1992.

Mary Ann taught middle school choral music for thirty-four years in the Culpeper and Prince William County School systems. As an adolescent and changing voice specialist, she has guest conducted and adjudicated for elementary, middle, and high school choirs around the state of Virginia. She is an active member of the American Choral Directors Association and served as the President of the Virginia Chapter from 2001-2003.

While attending Mary Washington College, Mary Ann studied organ with Peggy Kelley Reinberg and harp with Jeanne Chalifoux. As a harpist, Mary Ann has performed with orchestras and choirs around Virginia.

A native of New Kent County, Virginia, Mary Ann has lived with her husband Larry in Spotsylvania County since 1984. Their son, Neil, is on the Music Faculty of the University of South Carolina and their daughter, Allison, and her husband, Marc, live in Richmond with grandson, Jayden.
