Maundy Thursday

Maundy Thursday is the traditional name for the fifth day of Holy Week. From the Latin mandatum, meaning ‘command’, the church annually recalls the “new commandment” given by Christ to his disciples this night of the institution of the Lord’s Supper.

I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another.”John 13:34
