We are in the midst of a wonderful celebration of our congregation’s 200th Anniversary to commemorate our founding in 1808.

Bicentennial Banquet 10/26/08

On Sunday, June 8th, 2009, we had a Homecoming picnic following the second service on the church grounds. Members and friends of the congregation traveled from as far as Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and North Carolina to share in the worship and picnic. As tents gave shade from the heat, gentle breezes and fans refreshed all the table fellowship.

Worship included a sermon by Rev. Dr. Howard Leming, retired pastor of our church. Descendants of a number of our former pastors came to share in the day as well. Children enjoyed antique yard games and adults visited across decades, generations and miles of memories.

Thanks to all the committee members and volunteers who worked hard to help make the day so delightful.

Giclee prints and note cards are available featuring the new rendering of the sanctuary building by member Jake Jacobs. Pronounced “jhee-clay”, this sophisticated inkjet process produces museum qulaity prints. The prints are suitable for custom framing or a standard 16″ x 20″ frame. To view the orginal, visit the church office. Prints are $40 each and notecards are $8 for a pack of 8. PLease make checks payable to “The Presbyterian Church”. The joy of sharing in the 200th anniversary of this congregation is knowing that we celebrate the worship, study, service and Christian life of generations of willing and faithful members just like you. Your participation makes it possible.
