We have a contract to update the piping insulation which allows condensation and mold to form in the ceiling tiles of the 1st floor and fellowship hall. We will also be replacing 240 tiles.

The contractor is starting to replace the air conditioning chiller piping insulation.  Work is starting in the fellowship hall and will then proceed to the first floor.  After the insulation is replaced, all affected ceiling tiles will be replaced. The monument to mark our church's plot in the Fredericksburg City Cemetery is being constructed. It should be installed in the spring. If you would like to contribute to the cost of the monument, you may send a check with "city cemetery" in the memo line or select "city cemetery monument" in the drop down menu in Realm.

A commercial grade can opener will be installed in the kitchen, which will be especially helpful in opening large cans that are frequently used for community dinners.

We have several contracts to maintain and help with the ongoing operation of our buildings and facilities.

• We have a cleaning contract to keep the row houses and education building clean. The row houses are cleaned once a month, and the Education Building is cleaned twice a month.  Our cleaning team comes the first and third Saturday of the month after church activities.
• We have an annual contract to trim and maintain our trees and shrubs on campus.
• With the recent snows, our new ice and snow removal contractor was there to ensure our church campus is accessible. 

The Boiler System that provides heat to the row houses is failing, after 35 years.  The boiler failed mid January, leaving the row houses (including the manse) with no heat for several days. After a lot of work with our heating contractor, we were able to restore the boiler to provide heat for the buildings.  This is an interim repair to get us (prayerfully) through the winter.  Property Committee will have a phased program to transition to a new reliable system.

A new electric piano has been purchased for the fellowship hall to replace the upright piano that is beyond repair. It will be in the fellowship hall after the ceiling tile work is completed.
