Join us for Church Camp
"An OutCast of Characters"
June 9-13
Sunday: 11:00-am - 1:30pm
Monday-Thursday: 5:30pm - 7:30pm
All ages are invited to this summer's Church Camp! Activities for young and old (and anywhere in-between) will explore the stories of the people Jesus met in his ministry. Sometime called Outcasts, sometimes called Nerds!
- Children ages 3 - 5th grade will use the
Growing in God's Love Curriculum to explore the stories of The Short Man, The Thankful Woman, The Thankful Man, The Very Thirst Woman, and The Rich Man through art, lessons, and play. The children will also be a part of the intergenerational "pop-up" Zacchaeus Musical.
- Youth have the options of participating in the musical, or volunteering with the children.
- Nursery care will be available for infants - 2 year olds.
- Adults can choose one of two Grown-Up Camp classes offered each day:
- Outcasts and Nerds
(led by the Faith Formation Coordinators)
Part Bible study exploring the same stories the children are learning, and part lecture series where we will hear from our own members about what makes them a nerd--what are they an expert on that people may not know about, or what are they super passionate about, or what unique skill do they have?
- Zacchaeus Musical
Whether you want to sing, have no lines but be on stage, help with set design, or be a stage hand, all kinds of help is needed.
Each day will begin with a meal - Sunday will be a lunch following the 10:00am worship service, and classes at 12:00; weeknight dinners on Mon-Thurs will begin at 5:30, followed by classes from 6:30-7:30. Youth and adults who are interested in volunteering to help with the children's activities and/or help with meal set-up and clean-up are much appreciated! Please contact Brittany or Jen to volunteer or if you have questions. Registration is available online or contact Brittany or Jen if you need a paper copy of the registration.
